Default Best diagnostic neuropathy centers

I need some help in finding a diagnostic hospital for my full body SFN, I don't think the Doctors in my area know enough about SFPN to help me. I'm progressively getting worse and they have absolutely no answers for me. One of my Doctors recommended the Mayo clinic in Minnesota, I live in Los Angeles, so their Arizona clinic would be closer but my Doctor said that he feels the one in Minnesota would be better. Are there any clinics in the Los Angeles area that anyone knows of that I could try? I don't like to fly, so any help if anyone knows of in this area would be appreciated. I am willing to get on a plane if there aren't any hospitals here who can get to the bottom of my complex case. Thanks for any information. Jan

Have you had a full rheumatology work up? All the neuros really did for me was to to blood work/ spinal tap/ MRIs and skin biopsy. They cannot find a cause. Unless you have diabetes or a classic autoimmune disease or vitamin deff. they basically are just able to tell you that your nerves are being damaged/attacked and give symptom treatment. There is a lot of good advice all over this site and a lot of help. Probably more than you will get from any doc unfortunately. I keep searching and getting opinions though.

No I really haven't had a good rheumy work up. My Family Doc thinks that would be a good idea too. So I will try to find a good Rheumy here in this area. I live in the Los Angeles area so should be able to find someone. Thanks for that suggestion.
