Default Sympathetic Nerve Block for SFN
Okay. So pain management specialist proposes sympathetic nerve block. I said several times that I have sfn. He said that he does 300/month.

Experience, ideas, anyone?

I have absolutely no idea about the nerve block but wanted to throw this out here. I've been reading a lot about vagus nerve stimulation for migraines and other pain issues. Those done in the USA are through implants on the nerve. However, I came across an external VNS that's hand held called GammaCore. You may want to look into it. May be a dead end but you never know.

They use and have studied VNS for epilepsy, IBS, headaches, fibromyalgia. Seems like it probably will have a wider application in the future.

I have read that some pain management programs expect you to try these before they will prescribe pain medication, unfortunately I have not heard of a single instance where they have helped neuropathy pain.

Hey baba......I have SFN and I had one done in Nov last year......I never knew I had anything done....pain dr wanted to try one more time....so in early Dec he did 2 shots. Again nothing. He and I were both disappointed but at least I know it's not an option for me.

But I was willing to give it a try especially since they knocked me out to do them
