Just curious as to what type of braces you will get. I know you mentioned orthotics once and they would be custom made I'm sure and they just go in your shoe. AFO (Ankle Foot Orthosis) - braces - are quite different as you know. Thanks for your reply.

They describe them as braces on the prescription, possibly with AFO's but primarily to keep me from rolling in on my arches, and with a Morton's extension to keep this toe from ulcerating. They will come part way up my leg, past the shoe but not much above the ankle. Sort of an orthotic/brace hybrid?
I haven't gone for the fitting yet, this is all I have been told so far. I drag my right foot more than my left so they will probably be different from each other. The prosthetic people will make the final determination.

I went to the ER once for pain and was treated like a junkie. They kept me waiting, while I was crying, for 3 hours. I brought a bottle of my percocet and some nitwit doing intake said we can't give you anything stronger. I was given a shot that helped for a couple hours and a script for four I think 2mg diaulada (allergic to morphine ) on my chart they wrote treated for mild pain. The top reasons pill seekers use to obtain narcotics are tooth and back pain or migraines.

Let us know what it is and how it goes. Thank you.

My skin punch biopsy was $2,700 and my high-end insurance plan paid $48.
