Hi Grantious

Welcome - you'll find lots of people here to help you with the info you're looking for. I'm sure others will be along soon to say hi!
Re your symptoms - they sound very similar to the way mine started - mild numbness in assorted areas of the body - also at first thought to be a compressed ulna nerve but nerve conduction study was negative. I'm still waiting for a definite diagnosis but I'm suspecting some type of peripheral neuropathy - that's a general term for a number of differing nerve conditions.
For me the best way to describe the numbness was it felt like a dental anesthetic injection that was wearing off.

You've probably already read many of the threads and postings and figured out that there are as many types of neuropathy as there are causes. Keep in mind everyone is individual and may present differently with the same condition. Figuring exactly what you have and what might have caused it is a bit like a detective story with lots of clues to follow and eliminate.

Your young age might help you to get an accurate diagnosis quicker as it may be considered unusual for someone young to have such symptoms. I hope so for you - and by the sounds of it as you've already seen a neuro then they are on to it. It's a good idea to keep a record of your symptoms - when they start/stop etc, where, how severe, and any changes etc. Also any medications you've had in the past, tests and treatments.

Hope this helps and let us know how you get on.
