Ok all, new weird symptoms today:
Coming home from work, both sides of my ribs hurt so bad, out of nowhere. I can barely touch my rib cage. Also, on my left (problem arm), my pinky and ring finger went numb, for quite a while. But why would my rib cage hurt so bad like this? When I press a little on my spine in my neck, it hurts, like the bone part. And also my ribs, pressing on the bones hurt. I also have tingles/vibrations in my face cheeks. Anyone have an idea? Maybe the nerve inflammation/neuritis (that is supposedly what I have) is still there and spread? Is this serious?

Not sure if I might have suggested Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) to you already?
I would really check it out to better understand , if it may fit or not, posture , body work may be able to help if if may be heading towards TOS or even chronic myofascial pain.. Many things you mention sound very familiar. ring/pinky sx could the rib pain be the muscles in between the ribs? intercoastals/spasms? Often shoulder injuries can mimic or be in conjunction with TOS- complicates the dx ing.. Many MDs are not fully knowledgeable about TOS and may ignore or dismiss it. Have you had any advanced PT or expert chiropractic? Has anyone checked for spasms & trigger points? http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread125577.html http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread84.html What kind of work do you do or hobbies/sports, any previous accidents/whiplash etc?

Saying spasms scares the he** out if me! ![]() I sit at a desk all day. Computer work. No hobbies right now with this (supposed) neuritis in my arm. Just light exercises for my arm/shoulder (left side only). Only PT I have is every other day for light shoulder massage and gentle neck traction.

I responded to this problem with ideas, on your other thread.
Please take a look there.

Severe muscle spasms will make you feel "locked up" the muscles will be very hard to the touch and not pliable as normal.
I had spasms so bad at one point that I could not turn my head or flex much at all with upper body. ( all neck/shoulders, upper back locked up ) and my chest "vibrated" is best I can describe it.. expert chiro /PT should eb able to tell if that is the case. MDs should if they actually touch & feel for it , but often they don't even do that basic thing.. ![]()

Thanks - no I am not having any locking, that's for sure.
BUT - I just read something.....stopping cortisone can cause Body aches. Has anyone heard of this or expierenced this? I have stopped taking the cortisone now, so could this be a withdrawal effect? I'm finding the aches are not limited to my ribs....I have aches in my arms, legs, neck. Just within a few hours. They are not cramps, just aches, like as if people just punched me everywhere.
