Default actualy sunburn

the nortriptyline has helped some with my burning pain. however, I accidently received an actual sunburn on my neck and shoulders this weekend. The med doesn't seem to be helping with the pain of a real sunburn. If it helps a bit with my other burning pain wouldn't it take away the pain of a real sunburn?

do you think this means that maybe the nortriptyline isn't helping that much with my burning pain...that maybe the burning pain is just getting better? Or is there a different process going on in how a body feels these two things?
