Maryoochi ---- I did not notice any difference with infra red therapy--I had it done by a physical therapist.
The stem cell therapy procedure was a one day procedure. Fat was taken from my abdomen area through two tiny incisions made inside my belly button. No scarring, lidocane used to numb the area. The process to remove the fat is like a mini liposuction. The stem cells are then extracted from the abdomen fat, using some large machine--(-looked much like the machine that was used when I had plasma exchange done). This took a while. I had blood drawn for plasma rich protein injections that are suppose to make a better environment for the newly injected stem cells. I had 9 injections of this into each lower leg. They got 3 vials of stem cells from the abdomen fat (losing the abdomen fat was a bonus ![]() I was a little sore from the injections, and from where the abdomen fat was extracted--but it was tolerable. hopefully that helps--there are probably many sites that explain the procedure better and in more depth, I was trying to keep it short and simple ![]() |

There would have been no sense in my using stem cells in attempt to regenerate my nerves if my nerves were still being attacked by CIDP. The procedure I had done was for regenerative purposes ---it was not suppose to cure any disease or disorder. There are other more in depth stem cell transplants that usually involve extreme immune suppression. These are used for cancers, some auto immune diseases etc. These are a lot more than a one day procedure, and a lot more extensive and dangerous than the procedure I did. .....and BTW--the problem with opinions is EVERYBODY has one ![]() |
