You know, I've been thinking.... if you drink TOO MUCH water, you dilute out your electrolytes and get low in sodium.
This is called hyponatremia. There are several kinds of this, but muscle cramping is one sign. http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-c...s/con-20031445 It is not common, and sometimes is due to medications, but over indulgence of water, may cause it too. |
I could try to cut back, though I really don't think that is the issue. These are essentially the same sort of issues I had when I was certainly under hydrating.
It is certainly worth keeping an eye on. This would be incredibly frustrating instead of moderately frustrating if I received crummy support, but my family is great and for the most part my employer is too. It is grating, though. Since I don't look as bad as I did when shingles plus garden variety pn were around people assume I am much better, which is fine. Those that are close are even less aware, which really is good, I think. Worrying from me or others, both misplaced emotion. It is the appearance vs reality portion of this disease. My calf muscles look likeI am training for Mr. Universe. They feel like rubberbands who sat on a dash board in Orlando and were then cobbled into Mr Incredible's uniform... with disasterous results. The name escapes me but that band of muscle and tendon on the outside of the calf is either bass string worth or Legolas bow material. The lotion doea take an edge off, though. |
