Default Painful scalp anyone?

Another new symptom I've been experiencing a few times over the last few months that comes for a few days then disappears. Wondering if anyone else having this, very tender on the crown of my scalp, uncomfortable to wash and brush hair but can also feel it when nothing is touching it, hard to explain but it feels bruised.

I've had a painful scalp for over a year now. The last 2 weeks I've been in a scalp and face flare with the back of my head sometimes burning. I'm on 2400 mg of gabapentin and a low dose of nortryptline. I'm not sure if it is summer that brings out my worst symptoms.

Yup me too. And it itches at times too. Sometimes if I leave my reading glasses on my head and I take them off it still feels like they are up there for several minutes or more.

Yes, I do too. Actually my SFN started with scalp and then belly button down and now on my face including eyes. Progressing quickly in just few months. I am not even officially diagnosed for SFN yet.

I get it off and on. It gets worse sometimes if I put my hair in a ponytail.
