Default Lexapro and muscle weakness ?

Hi everyone , has anybody experienced Lexapro and muscle weakness / fatigue. I'm dealing with MMN and take IVIG every 4 weeks , 5 days in a row ( today is my 5th day for this month ). The Lexapro seems to help with my anxiety but i Heard through the grapevine that it can cause weakness / loss of energy ? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Jim.....

Hi Kobyshelby,

Lexapro has helped me with pain management.
During my first week, I had severe insomnia, with overwhelming daytime sleepiness. Some report ongoing issues with insomnia when using Lexapro. I am trying to see how to lessen the insomnia by changing the time I ingest a dose, etc.

Lexapro has helped me with muscle spasticity, as well. It helps to relax muscles for me. I have not noticed muscle weakness.

I have found I tolerated the GI effects best if I take it with food.

I am currently deciding if I can tolerate Lexapro.

If the chronic insomnia continues, I will have to drop this med. It has helped with pain this week, as an addition to other pain meds.

MrsD did give me a "head's up" on this SSRI drug class (just today) re: newer info on the depletion of dopamine in people with PN. This particular med was not tested in that study, as it was not on the market then. It is in the SSRI category, however. Something to consider. I am grateful to MrsD.

We each/all have different reactions to any given medication.
What's most important in evaluating any medication and/or supplementation or treatment is how it affects you. Trust yourself when noting your own reactions/concerns.

To Our Healing,
DejaVu
