Default Tsh

I am scheduled to see the Endocrinologist in January. They had me on the wait list and called today for an appointment this afternoon. I recently had only my TSH checked. It was normal 2.190(range of 0.45-4.5). Can anyone help me with what further questions and tests I should ask for? Thanks!!!

If I had this situation I would make a note of the top two or three symptoms that are bothering me the most. Tell the Endo these symptoms without going into a long story about each one. (not picking on you, we all do it) He should be able to tell YOU the tests needed. Good Luck, Ken in Texas.

The list of HypoT is LONG, from depression to hair loss to cold extremeties, fatigue, weakness, you name it.

Docs I have ever seen all do T3 and T4 and from all I've read from thyroid support groups I'm on the TSH is not enough for sure....I take only desiccated thyroid and I know conventional MD's only work with synthetics for the most part....rare to find the doc who works with the more natural support...integrative and naturopath MD's work with desiccated... In my long battle, endos failed me. Good wishes to you, hope you can feel better.
