If this was an open question to anyone, usually the first test will be this one. you get to play like a pin cushion, haha. They place accupuncture type needles in precise places and attach little wires to the needles that allow an auditory representation of the nerve signals being sent to different muscles. If you can imagine the "tick, tick" of the old Geiger counters in the SCI-FI movies. Then when you try to say, lift your leg the tick, tick speeds up. Not a difficult or very painful test but lots of difference in interpretation. If you try to use this test results more than one time, the new DR. will want to run it again himself. If you learn the search function here you can search "biopsy" and read for days. Good Luck, Ken in Texas.
