Does anyone else have pinched nerves due to PN? I have them in both elbows, wrists and neck. My nuerologist said that this is common with PN. How are you treating it? I am wearing the braces and tried physical therapy for my neck. Any input would be great. I am also wondering what I should expect as far as this occurring often? I am seeing orthopedic surgeon Monday. Just had to ask. I lovery having this site; I can finally talk to people that understand. It's been a rough three years; this place is great

I definitely think that what ever is causing the inflammation, makes us more susceptible to pinched/ irritated/ nerves. I have full body NLD polyneuropathy and I get them a lot.

--see "double crush hypothesis".
Those people who already have compromise to nerves from some systemic cause do tend to be more prone to compressive effects and the symptoms generated can be "more than the sum of the parts". People with diabetic neuropathy, for example, seem more prone to carpal or tarsal tunnel effects and have higher rates of symptomatic spinal radiculopathy (nerve root compression). |

Oh my gosh, you get them a lot?? My nuerologist did say that this will happen because my nerves are all compromised. Mine is from malnutrition and alcohol abuse. Where do you get them?

I will check it out for sure!! My nuerologist told me that my entire nerve was damaged and not just the sheath?! She said that I shouldn't get worse, but that I will always habe it. I was told that it wouldn't get worse last year too, now it affects my hands and I have pinched nerves everywhere. I don't know what to believe anymore. I havery been sober since February 2014. I can thank neuropathy for that at least
