I have this, but it's from SFN. I have left sided eye, face and throat pain.

When I have a bad flair (which is multiple times each week), I usually try to do some deep breathing to try and relax. I do the deep breathing in a 1:2 ratio. 1 part on the inhale to 2 parts on the exhale.

If I'm at work, I will take a 10 minute walk to try and move to get my mind off of it.

Lightbulb

NO heat.... only ice! Heat stimulates nerves. Use ice sparingly....no longer than 20minutes. 2 or 3 times a day max.

The only exception is RSD.

Canagirl,

It is likely that this is caused by your SFN and stress. I would not be quick to look for other possible disorders when you already have a cause.

True Isolated ON is quite rare and, as a sufferer of Classic TN, I can tell you that your symptoms do not match up. TN is not non-stop, it is the second most painful condition known, like being stabbed with electrified needles over and over again for a period of the Attack. Triggers are things like touch, cold - even a cool breeze can be enough - talking…

Just keep doing the right things and concentrating on reducing your stress and finding the combination of meds at the right doses that work.

Dave.
