Default needles and pins

Hello, months ago I got tingling sensation all over body, starting in toes that in two weeks upper legs and then the whole body. Yesterday I noticed like stabbing my skin with a needle, especially in my lefft arm and a little bit in legs. Are you familiar with it

Yes, to put it simply it is all part of the neuropathy. For some reason I find it more tolerable than the burning or buzzing pain.

Its pretty typical of PN sufferers. They are usually the first to affect you.
pins and neddles followed by, tickling, prickling, jabs of pain, twitching, and pain.

Hi Barbie86.
You are describing the symptoms of Small Fiber Sensory Neuropathy. Basically it includes sensations such as pins-and-needles, pricks, tingling and numbness.
I have all the symptoms so far except numbness.

If you google John Hopkins Small Fiber Sensory Neuropathy it will give you some useful information:

Hey thanks. But all that started together or was first something and later symptoms added? How long do you have it? Do you know the cause?

Although I did not realize at the time I basically had all the symptoms when this started but some to a lesser degree. It started the end of February out of the blue. I was woken to a twitching in my calf that would not allow me to sleep and it was the same every night. I drugged myself with Ambien most nights. All the other symptoms took a back seat. I thought I had Restless leg Syndrome and tried to deal with it myself. About 2 months later the other symptoms, including burning(which I forgot to include in the list I wrote you) increased in intensity and duration and I realized it was more serious. I then went to a Neurologist. Honestly, I wish I had gone sooner as I feel I wasted those 2 months. No, I do not know the cause yet but have not given up hope. I have gotten quite an education thanks to this wonderful group and plan to find out as much as I can when I go to my appointment with a specialist in Neurology next week.

Ok I understand. It is very scary that dr can not tell us how the progression will be and what to do to peevent fast progression. And tingling and needles and pins goes away as for example pain starts?
