I have recovered from broken ankle. I got rid of cam boot a few days ago. My ankle still feels stiff and I use a walker for long distances like big box stores.
Now my surgeon recommends more surgery to get the metal plate taken out.He said something about neuropathy. My neuropathy does affect my legs. I walked around on the broken ankle for three weeks before I sought medical care.

I take it that your bone has healed/fussed together. In that case yes I know some doctors who would recommend removal of hardware. It is yet another surgery.

I,was wondering why. Is here some connection to neuropathy? Naturally, I would like to avoid future surgery. My ankle has healed. It took 4 months to get to this point. I broke tibia and fibula unstable fractures.
