Default is there anyone out there?

Hi. I'm in trouble. I feel highly suicidal. I have very severe nerve pain over most of my body. I rang Mental health services and after waiting several hours spoke with a nurse. She was good but soon as I got off the phone I've become highly distressed again. There's no one else I can phone. I'm in the southern hemisphere so it's day here.. A lot of you are probably sleeping. If anyone is up and feels like talking I would appreciate it.

Hi indigo,
Are you alone there at home?
If you are is there any chance of calling someone, a friend, to come over to be with you?
What about your GP?

Default I,m here.....

Hi,
I am here. You may PM me if you rather.
Is there a emergency hospital you can go to?
I understand how that may be difficult but certainly they may be more helpful in a critical situation.

We have a Survivors of Suicide forum - it is a good place for talking & help perhaps some members there will be online , also the sticky threads and past threads there may be supportive and helpful..

You don't have to be an actual survivor of suicide to share there-

I'm alone. I don't think there's anyone I can call. I have three close friends but two are sick and I think all three are a bit worn out. I can't go to ED or GP. Very painful hands. Can't explain fully. Thinking will take tranquilizer, high but safe dose. Try to sleep. Just don't want to wake up anymore.

I should have mentioned per our site guidelines -( since talk of suicide can be a sensitive & triggering subject)
*Messages containing suicidal threats or threats of suicidal actions. Posts of a primarily suicidal nature should be made to the SOS forum.* (Survivors of Suicide - linked above)

When there is physical pain , then suggestions to help with that can certainly be discussed here.
Do you have pain meds , but there are not working for you?

When we do get stressed out in times like this with extreme pain , we tense up and breathe very shallowly , and that cases less oxygen and blood flow to our body.

So the first thing I will suggest is to take deep slow diaphragmatic breaths, fully in and fully out. Perhaps put on some favorite relaxing music or waterfall, rain or wave sounds while doing the breathing. You tube has a lot of relaxation sounds with stream or ocean videos too.
Then drink some water to help flush out the bad stuff that the breathing help to unclog.

I'm also burning a lot tonight. I'm kind of afraid to hit the bed because I'm afraid it will be worse. So I'm up for now even though dead tired. I' feel suicidal often. I think I'd be kind of crazy not to be considering this terrible situation. So.. I have no idea how long I'll avoid sleep but I'll talk with you in PM if you like and if you PM soon.

I'm so so sorry you are suffering so. I'm also sorry I'm suffering. Maybe we have a connection around that tonight.

Remember to breath. I've kept the worst at bay tonight doing deep relaxation breathing for several hours throughout the day and evening. .

icelander, I'm sorry you're also having such a bad day with pain there.
I hope you get some sleep eventually.
