Default Surgery Tomorrow

Well, I'm going tomorrow morning for surgery to treat the varicose veins in my right leg. Then, in two weeks I have to go back for additional surgery on my left leg (that one was done about 5 years ago, but the major vein that was ablated partially re-opened.)

Pretty simple surgery - laser ablation on the large saphenous vein, and phlebectomy (physically removing) some of the bad surface veins. The neuromuscular specialist I saw 6 months ago was of the opinion that resolving the vein issues would improve my nerve pain by limiting the swelling and blood "pooling" in my feet/legs. The vascular surgeon wasn't too sure about that, but did strongly recommend the surgery in order to improve circulation. I really wish we could get straight and consistent answers from our doctors, but it seems like that rarely happens.

The thing I'm most concerned about is whether this surgery will cause any worsening in my PN symptoms. I've been doing pretty well lately and would hate to go backwards.

Keep your fingers crossed for me

All the best tomorrow.

Here's hoping you have some nice effects on pn symptoms. Who knows, right?

Good luck with the surgeries.

Here is another of the miracles of Grape Seed Extract. I've talked about it for 20 yrs, as long as I'm taking it.
