I had a colloidal cyst removed back in 2012, it was an incidental finding because I had chest pain. Then they come in said my heart was fine....but I have a brain tumor. Being a nurse, I could not fathom that it was me with the brain tumor. I kept looking at my fiancé and felt horrible that he had tumor....well then reality finally caught up to me, and smacked me in the face.
I had the surgery approved from my job and they even paid for it...but wanted me back to work 4 days after surgery....well could not happen because I contracted meningitis. So they fired me! I have been trying to get social security disability and eventhough they are unable to find a job for me....they would not grant me SSD. I am unable to keep a checkbook anymore! I feel like crap most of the time. I sleep late. I have terrible headaches at least 4 times a month but as many as 12 a month. I am so sick of the fight! Everything is 10 times the battle! |

Hi. I just wanted to welcome you to the NeuroTalk Support Groups.
I'm not sure if you meant to post on the Neuropathy Forum or not. I'll post a couple of links to other forums that you may also like to read or post. I'm sorry you were fired. Their treatment of you sounds shocking considering what you had been through. Are they allowed to do that?? Layoffs, Unemployment and Worker's Compensation Forum For discussion of any topic related to one's employment and unemployment, worker's compensation, and job. Colloid Cyst Forum Social Security & Disability Forum New Members Introductions Forum If you need any help navigating NeuroTalk, please just post again and someone will help you I'm sure. Take care. |
