There are no food restrictions with this vitamin so far.
If you drink alcohol, or were eating lots of carbs, for a long time, start at 300mg a day. You can decrease to 150mg daily in a couple of months as the the enzyme systems become saturated with time. This is a very easy supplement. I have never had any side effects from it, and there have been no complaints about side effects here with others either. Most of us use Doctor's Best brand. This used to come only from Germany, and was very very expensive. But those times have changed.
