Hi,
Is there any supplement or treatment that can help reduce the annoying muscle twitches known as muscle fasciculation? . It's very disturbing, especially at night. Thanks...... Cliffman ![]() Diagnosed recently with SFN |

In the beginning twitches kept me up most nights. I have had good results from using the tens machine a few hours before bed. Also stretching the calf and hamstring muscles, being hydrated (I drink coconut water) eating a banana and taking SlowMag twice a day. The twitches are so mild now that using Mortons Epsom lotion takes care of any that try to pop up.

The factors leading to muscle twitching metabolically are:
Low magnesium Low potassium low blood sugars Managing these, may help prevent them. I find low magnesium to be my largest trigger. Hence I use the magnesium lotion on my target calf twitches.

Cliffman: I can't remember from your previous posts, if you've tried gabapentin or not. For me, gabapentin has helped my twitching & cramping quite a bit (although I don't think it does much for my pain). I take 1800 mg/day (3x600)
