A little numbness here and there that goes away quickly after you eat, is not really crucial for bracing. Numbness that STAYS throughout the day, that is another animal.

When I started with my carpal tunnel I was waking in the night with blinding searing pain in my hands...like one would be from putting them in a fire or boiling oil. I had never had anything like it. My OBs sent me to a rehab doctor (now called physiatrists)
and she did an EMG on my arms and found 80% loss of function.

The braces she gave me then (from her office) as they were hard to find 35 yrs ago)...did the trick. Today my carpal tunnel is not that severe by any means, but I still use them fairly often.

You might try a cold treatment on your elbow before sleep. It might take down some of the inflammation. If you do it every day you might get "ahead" of something brewing.;)

I made it the whole night. I am not sure of any short term benefit, but baby steps, eh?
