J, I will definently let you know how I'm doing and definently want to know how you are doing too!
I don't get flu shots because they always make me really sick. So I don't have to worry about that, luckily!
I will take your advice and question the nurses with every step. My husband is very good about that anyway! lol I like to know what's going on.
I feel like my time is ticking......but yet I know this is a good thing. I know it's just nerves.
I enjoy hearing from you. Take care.....Hope you have a nice 4th. We aren't doing anything special. Roxie

You mean to tell me you didn't just turn on ESPN and watch all those idiots eat all those hotdogs in 12 minutes. WITH THE BUNS???

The new winner (after six years), is Joey Chestnut. Ate 66 hotdogs (with buns) in 12 minutes.

You have no idea what these people have consumed in their lifetimes. One little japanese girl (who weighs 105 lbs) has more champtionship eating titles then all the boys. I can't even type what they eat because I'd throw up.

Alan was sitting watching this whole thing saying: "Are these people for real? how can they put 66 hot dogs in their stomachs in 12 minutes?"

I just said "eat your veggie burger, and be happy".

I would love to see these people years later (but the odd thing is that the oldest guy there was 63 years old, and he is the watermellon champion and cake eating champion.

God, 40 years ago, I would have given them a run for the money.

Not any more. jeez. 66 hot dogs in 12 minutes. What's going to happen next year??? 70 hot dogs??

Anyway, good luck tomorrow hon. and let us know how you're doing, okay?

Love ya,

Melody (the home-made bra champion of the world)

Good luck tomorrow. You will me in my thoughts.
Now on a lighter note my ? is what makes someone choose to eat that much and the prize is not usually huge. What to be in the record book or tv? These people need a different hobby. I guess though if it makes them happy more power to them. Can you imagine the stomach ache after that. Talk about needing a doc. I don't think that would be on the neurology recovery nutrients list.I have guy friends who made bets to see who could eat the most food but it was just anything they wanted but still was gross and for what who knows.
Good luck again and I hope you get some rest tonight.

Roxie

I had IVIG at an infusion center. I had 5 infusions over 10 days then, one every month for 6 months. Mine went well. I had no problems, other than the sticks. I was so hard to stick they put a midline in for the first 6 rounds...

Now, after that I ended up with 16 weeks of IV steroids at home by self infusion thru a PICC...that I will not do again...no more steroids unless I am dying. In my case, the steroids were not beneficial....Eh, but that is just me. Every one is different....keep that in mind.

I don't like steriods and can't take them because of my Barrett's Esophagus......they make my esophagus raw. They are SO hard on your body......I wouldn't want to have to take them either. Roxie

I have a question about steroids. If they have all these horrible side effects....then why are all the wrestlers on them???

Somebody answer this one!!!

The wrestlers take them to 'bulk up'.....but the side effects are bad......look at that wrestler who just killed his whole family and himself! The type the wrestler took are different than the type than you take as a medication....but still......bad stuff! Roxie
