I am LUCKY?
That I've a family history of osteo, and that my docs decided to skip the steroids? Well I've still got the osteo...on the bad side of the 'fence' now. but, It's something, Like LizaJane's issues that can be worked on...I do believe that I have not read of any ONE adverse effect of IVIG use to osteo...that is one VERY good thing!
My own issues only cropped up AFTER I'd stopped HRT and went on AI-for post-cancer therapies...[do not let anyone fool you it's CHEMO under a new name] for breast cancer. The osteo got worse very fast due to the chemo[AI] and the fact that it's an estrogen blocker ....plus the anti-seizure med I'm on for pain...It is a toxic combo... Soo, Dear Roxie, be ALERT to all the fine print in all your meds! And all their actions/interactions and reactions...We have to be our own consumer advocates. |
