Patrick, I also take GP only at night for the same reason and so my symptoms won't keep me from sleeping. I posted some time back about feeling that GP worsens my pain first and then reduces it but I don't think anyone responded. It only happens sometimes now. I have been on the drug for about 6 months.

Although, this may not be the same as your issue. I only take my gabapentin dose at night because that is when my cortisol levels are lowest and my pain starts to flare up. i could swear that when i take the gabapentin, at first the pain worsens, and then it reduces after a few hours. I know it's gabapentin and not Lyrica but they are similar drugs and Lyrica shares ingredients of gabapentin.

Patrick -
Yes you thought about taking gaba and then thinking is the pain the gaba? or just normal because end of the day? that is literally how I question everything - but now the flare settled back down and I am still on the Lyrica so it was probably just a flare with convenient timing. Lyrica does slow me a little but not too much and I will wait to see if it reduces more with time. Thank you for your reply - always appreciated !
