It was an occupational therapist specializing in hand therapy that I saw. My symptoms were in my thumb, the rest of my hand, and forearm. She used modalities like heat, contrast baths (alternating submerging area in cold and hot water), massage, passive stretching, and passive and active range of motion exercises that I did at home. Since it resulted from surgery, it remained in just that one area.
