Default Clinical trials

For some reason the Netherlands is at the forefront of quite a bit of the research/clinical trials:

Some of the info is around the USA, I have already been on Metanx and am still on Foltanx. Will search another supplement mentioned. I would volunteer for a muscle strength study. Thanks, Ken in Texas.

Hi Ken,

Is there any reason why both Metanx and Foltanx are prescription only given they are supplements? Makes me wonder if it's mainly about money or is there really a difference in efficacy as opposed to over the counter supplements. I guess that's what they are trying to prove in the clinical study.

It seems then that you're well situated to take advantage of some trials.

Cliffman
The only reason that they are RX'd IMO is that one is a mix of three or more and the Foltanx is simpler but still a mix. And yes, it's about money. I am thinking about trying the Agmatine Sulfate that bodybuilders use to supplement performance. Only powder so far, hoping to see a pill. Good Luck, Ken in Texas.

Shocked

Be careful with clinical trials!...

This last week was a horrific event in France, doing a trial on a new cannabinoid drug.... brain death! (unexpected).

I hope this isn't too far off the beaten path of the topic, but I wish they would study the whole better before isolating. This assumption they could isolate this process involving a cannabanoid receptor without a balance of other portions of the plant seems like bad science, though so does their dosing sequence.

What a shame for the participants. I hope that marijuana gets rescheduled so that it can be tested more thoroughly in the US. I get tired of trying to discuss it as an issue rationally with people only to have it devolve into some straw man festival.

Anyway, carry on.

Yeah, I heard about that. Was pretty surprised/shocked/taken aback. I haven't looked into what happened or they think happened. As I see it, most studies are putting you into guinea pig territory, so definitely do your research and know the risks. They can be dangerous.

It was a Phase I trial. These are first in man and are very dangerous in my opinion.
