sounds like myclonus jerks, specifically hypnic ones. and also RLS restless leg syndrome. I had this for 2 weeks after i developed onset of PN. Did the jerks begin right after shots without any medication? do you take any other medicaiton.
my experience- was few days before, when i took benadryl and dextro, acetomeniphen, phenyleprine. does the sensation of jerk, when you lie down feel like a wave sensation in your leg(twitching), thats what happens to mine. I still do get random jerks here and there, but nothing like the intense jerks from last year, does your heart rate also go up when you have myclonic jerks?

You might read about magnesium lotion and/or supplements, it helps for my RLS.
restless leg syndrome & other muscle soreness

Even an Epsom salt bath might help before bedtime.

Of course drs will always suggest meds instead of alternatives..
