Default Can Low-Level Laser Therapy Have An Impact For Small Fiber Neuropathy?

If you wish skip the beginning and scroll down to "Current And Emerging Treatments For Small Fiber Neuropathy" http://www.podiatrytoday.com/can-low...ral-neuropathy
My only concern is the article is a bit dated; 2011 info.

Has anyone gone for Laser treatments? I do know someone with SFN that has his own portable cold laser and he says it's helped him a lot. That said, he also attributes his improvement over the years to a gluten free diet plus he receives monthly IVIG treatments.

I hope you get replies to this topic. I am curious to know how many might have tried it and how it worked for them.

I can say I had great relief & healing with LLLT, for my RSI/TOS/myofascial pain..
fast results on elbows, low back, shoulder, wrist, foot/Plantar fasciitis, neck.
My chiro had on and did the treatments as well as other modalities.
LLLT was so fast for my specific pain spots..

Cliffman: I had laser treatments done for several weeks, with no impact on my symptoms. However, it was used as an adjunct to the acupuncture treatment I was getting at the time. I don't believe that they used the same protocol as the article you linked - and, I didn't get the treatments on the same frequency.

But, the bottom line in my case was that neither the acupuncture or the laser treatments led to any improvement.

Thanks for the feedback Ragtop. Sorry to hear neither one helped you.

It's great to hear how much relief & healing you experienced.

My friends sister is a Chiro and uses LLLT all the time for her patients. She's going to start treating me on Saturday to see if it's effective on the SFN. I will post my results.

Also, thank you Jo*mar for the LLLT links...great info.
