I had a one-year follow up EMG w/Nerve Conduction test and my nerve conduction has improved and "healed" in almost every test. My results are all within normal ranges now.
Neurologist believes I'm left with just auto-immune SFN. I consider this to be a great diagnosis. I was facing a potential future of paralysis and loss of motor function. Now it's just looking like discomfort and loss of sensation. I know for many of us that's still a hard pill to swallow, but I must say it's a real relief for me and I'm very grateful for the new diagnosis. I know others on the board have asked why they should bother with the NCV tests, and while it's just a tool, this is the third round of tests for me and seeing the improvement over 18 months is very heartening, even if my feet are currently on fire. ![]() |
