Default Gabapentin & Magnesium

I am going to start taking 400 mg of Chelated Magnesium but I have read in some older posts that it should not be taken if you are on gabapentin. I am currently taking 2100 mg of gaba per day. Is this OK to take together if they are spaced apart by say 4 hours?
