not sure what mine is. doctor seems to think it should improve over time. could be toxic, metabolic, autoimmune or small fiber GBS. whatever it is he says we'll probably never know. it happened right after getting sick. not sure if i peaked or plateaued or what. its hard to figure out.

still not thru beating myself up... if i had just done xyz i wouldnt have gotten pneumonia and wouldnt be in this mess, etc. why me? etc etc. i hope im up for this mentally. if i had only known how good i had it before.... im sure everyone on this board says that.

it's the not knowing thats so rough... gonna get better, worse, stay the same ? how long, etc.

was your pain just in your feet or other areas?

Mainly in my feet up to about my knees, but I also had some pain in my fingers and numbness in my face.

Mine was from a series of vaccinations I got before our baby was born. Much like your pneumonia I wish I could have gone back and done something differently, but you can't change the past.

For the first six months I had problems even sitting in a car or in a meeting. Things like going to the movies were nearly impossible. I had to keep my feet moving and couldn't compress them in any way. It did get better and while it's not perfect, it's livable. I hope yours ends up similarly.

I kept a diary too. Things would come then go for a few weeks then come back. Hard to find any pattern. I notice that if i cross my legs or lean on my elbow.., my leg or arm falls asleep . Was never like that before. How did u work being on high doses of your pain solution?! I spent a ton of money on shoes. I cant handle my old ones. I need to wear crocs, sandles, anything breathable. Its ridiculous! Things change so much that things that helped once hurt later.
