My neurologist is considering amitriptyline, but I'm worried about side effects.

I'm on Desipramine. I asked for it. I was suppose to take Elavil, but asked for this because rumor has it that is has less side effects. It is somewhat helpful for my nerve pain. I gained about three or four pounds from it. Few side effects.
