Does anyone else have this and is there anything that can be done for it? I'm not sure if I'm more afraid this is progression of my PN or if it could be something even worse. It bothers me on and off during the day and is making sleeping near impossible at night.

I have serious PN and have suffered severe itching for a few years. I have to hang my legs out of the side of the bed and that gives some relief. Walking is painfull and as the pain of he PN is continuous I'm resigned to it. My life is a bit of a misery but what can one do? The doctors aren't much help but then as there is not much info, we can't blame them!

I have suffered for several years with PN and itching has been one of the worst side effects I have had. In fact I do think that it was the first thing that troubled me. As I write this I can honestly use the old saying " my feet are killing me!" I use all the usual things, Lyrica, B12, Capascian, if that's how it's spelled! It drives me mad and really has messed up my old age! Just have to put up with it I suppose!

Yes, I have the itching, legs, back, forearms--anywhere the Axonal PN is lurking. Comes and goes.

My itching has been terrible for me. I have PN and suffer very badly with painful feet. I take Lyrica and use Capsacian cream. If that's how it's spelt! The pain is only in the front part of the feet. Sometimes there are tears in my eyes but I don't like admitting it being a chap. Walking is getting difficult now and after being very active all my life it's a problem. Hope things get better fr you.

I get itching skin too, especially when my skin is dry!

Itchiness, especially after bathing, can be a symptom of polycythemia. On a blood test, is your hematocrit on the high side? Ask your doctor if checking it out is in order.
