Default Haven't been here for a while. Another question?

Hi Everyone,
I haven't been here for a while, been busy raising my grandchildren. My full body neuropathy has progressively gotten worse. I have a question I am hoping you guys can help me with. My iron tests have come back and my Doctor is concerned, my iron/TIBC, saturation 55% iron total 178 mcg/dl Ferritin 86 NG, and Transferrin 221mg. Doctor is concerned about iron overload, but I am a little Leary of this because I have heard inflammation in your body can cause false positive high iron levels. I hope my question makes sense and I'm asking it in the right way. Can someone help me with these results and help me understand if inflammation could cause my iron levels to look like this or if inflammation could. Side false positive high iron levels. Thank you for your help.
