Default Found a gastroenterologist who is interested

I posted a while back that I found a good pediatric gastroenterologist for my little one who was interested in our case. She found protein losing enteropathy, milk allergy, and high IGe.
I had been to 4 gastroenterologists over the years, had an endoscopy, colonoscopy, and only gastritis of unknown cause was found. No one was interested on running any other tests or pursuing the cause. They just recommended acid blockers, a repeat endoscopy or said they didn't know. Last year I went to a new one and brought case reports of people with giardia that lead to peripheral neuropathy that were resolved with antibiotics. He thought it would be a good idea to try, but my neurologist said those abx were not a good idea for my condition. He also wasn't into ordering any additional tests and had no ideas of his own to try to figure it out. Well, as a last resort, I went to yet another local gastro with the new findings of my anti smooth musc antibody results and she seems pretty interested and curious about it. She does recommend an edoscopy, but she ordered a slew of tests that haven't been done yet first. She even asked if we swim in lakes. The quest continues.....
