Default Lesser of two evils- asthma meds
I am having asthma in the mornings a lot lately. Its to the point that I need a rescue inhaler most mornings and also a budensonide pump. It doesn't solve all my problems but it helps. I was told singulair might alleviate the need for the pump and steroids. The problem is that I am trying to determine which drug is worse than the other on a long term basis. I realize that certain ones are worse than others and want to do the safest least dangerous treatment.

I was switched from singulair to spiriva by my pulmonary doctor about 5 years ago, because of a study which came out contra indicating singulair and peripheral neuropathy. I have asthma also...as well as RADS and COPD

Wow, I wasn't even aware of this study. I'll look it up- thanks! For now I'll stick with the pumps I have. I'm sure the barometric pressure from this Noreaster in addition to the dry air and my own darn antibodies to my smooth muscle are all wreaking havoc right now.
