Hi,
I have been going through a tough 2 years. Mayo said I may have a hypersensitive CNS and most recently Hopkins says I have SFN. Received biopsy results a few days ago and ankle was 29fibers/MM And diagnosis of SFN was something like 5fibers/mm. Thigh was 32. My Neuro at Hopkins said I have it even if Count is normal.... fibers look good but don't work correctly. Doc thinks I have an scn9a mutation ( I found it on 23&me). I'm getting more testing. Last biopsy 18 months ago showed ankle fibers around 15/mm Any thoughts on my case? My symptoms include a burning sensation on front of both thighs and my toes can get red and hot after exercising late in the day Or before bed. I had full MRIs, QSART, sweat test, and two skin biopsies - 2EMGs - all normal |

If the symptoms are not progressing and you don't have a real pain (the one like tooth or ear pain) then my advice is - forget about it.
