Default Burning Pain Especially at Night

I believe all the issues I deal with got worse with Hip Replacement in 2010...nerve damage, shorter leg, body instability which caused advancing OT in feet...worst issues are all right sided of body where hip was replaced.

Some nights are better than others. Last night was a lot of burning so I had to rub with rubbing alcohol and then with some Tiger Balm and my socks of course and got back to sleep.

The link here says burning more at night. Guess that's due to after a long day and then going to sleep, and blood is not moving like during the day. I'll read more on that or maybe someone can say WHY mostly at night.

Default Sorry you have pain :(

I have nighttime burning almost every night. For me it's the worst because it doesn't allow me to sleep and it's most noticeable because I'm lying there doing nothing but thinking about the burning. For me Aspercreme with Lidocaine works best. I usually put some topricin on top for good measures. Occasionally I'll use the Morton's Epsom Creme but for me that works better for pulsing, crawling feelings and other SFN symptoms.

I didn't have as much burning the last 3 nights since I posted this. What I'm doing before bed is rubbing feet with wintergreen rubbing alcohol and then rubbing with Vicks which I add some essential oils. So that will be what I do before turning off the lights.

Well see how that goes and thanks for commenting. C

I'm also finding more and more companies are producing Grape Seed Ex in higher doses vs the low amounts when it first came to the U.S. I had been taking 200mg once a day and some days twice, but finding 600mg at one time before bed, and almost NO feet burning...and I was starting to get some edema in my left foot and the higher dose of grape seed ex knocked it out overnight a few nights ago.

People are sure missing out by not using this antioxidant.

Default I use Kratom for night time burning

Hi folks.
I use certain reds or dark reds which are fermented for night time burning. For me it mutes any burning so that I can fall asleep and also relaxes me to the point of being able to sleep.

Certain states have banned this substance (so check your state) and it may be banned soon by the greedy (imo) FDA so I have stocked up on it.

I am now 8 days opioids free because of this plant and although I will probably always have to deal with burning at least I don't have to deal with the side effects of the serious drugs I was put on.

All Kratom is not created equal and although most reds are good for sleep not all are so if you want more info of my experience contact me or do the research. I suggest the American Kratom Association. americankratom

Happy Holidays!
Carol

What brand do you use, and how much do you use for night time relief? I am really interested in taking this for sleep. Thank you Carol, and Happy Holidays to you and yours. Rosie

Hi Rosie.
Any of the “fermented” Reds are supposed to be good for sleep. Some vendors refer to them as “dark chocolate or dark something. Some vendors are very creative with names. Also Bentuangie has worked well for me. I have a few strains I rotate because you can build a tolerance if you always use the same one. With Kratom a small amount is energizing and a larger amount makes you relaxed and sleepy. I take 1 or 1 1/2 teaspoon of most nighttime strains. If you want information on what specific vendors and names of strains that work best for me for sleep please PM me and I’ll be happy to help you. Carol
