2465 days sober

Not much to update...except that I quit smoking on Saturday at noon. I smoked my last cigarette (hopefully) and then went home for a nap. When I got up I jumped in the wagon and stopped by one of the 2 million vape shops for a "Phix" with replaceable pods. Super simple, tastes good, and I get the 10-12 puffs per day my "brain" needs plus the oral fixation.

No more stinky car, clothes or breath and I can use this thing in the house. I never smoke cigarettes in my homes.....

Good luck with quitting smoking - I hope that the vape alternative works well for you :).

Congrats & excellent!

Keep with the vape as long as you need. You may get bored of it and stop that too, but if you crave "analog" cigs again, just pick up your "fix".

And if you need advice, please ask. I have been into vaping for almost 5 years now, can build my own devices, make my own e-liquids, read all the scientific studies, did presentations to docs ... I actually wanted to start my own line of e-liquids, but the EU law as implemented in Belgium does not allow online sales, and I don't need the hassle of brick&mortar shops etc.

My Canadian buddy even wanted to pump some serious money in my endeavor, so you can imagine how taken aback we were when we saw that the law in Belgium was stricter than the EU law. :(

Anyway, water under the bridge.

View from my office seat. (most of the older stuff is packed up and stored in the attic. I can make a museum of vaping with all that. :D )

Edit: 2149 days. As said previously I stopped checking, but it's good to remind me now and then. (on the 2nd...) 1577 days smoke free.

Yeah, I’ll probably get bored of it in a couple weeks. That’s some serious looking vape thingies though!!

Wide-O 05-03-2018 04:55 AM

Yeah, I don't know if you noticed, but I tend to get carried away when I start something. ;)

Mind you, when I started it was still somewhat illegal here, and on the way to be banned completely. Hence why I have a small extra freezer with liters & liters of nicotine base - enough to keep me stocked for the next 10 years. :D

Then they legalized it...

1 week down.....this was soooo easy. Still on the same $9 pod too.

If I mention I might stop eating cheeseburgers then someone come to VA and just put me out of my misery :p:D

For me the buck stops at fries. Belgian fries.;)

Glad to hear it's working. Now imagine if all smokers tried this...

Happy Mom's Day!

To all those of you who are a "Mom", hope you had a great day!

2 weeks smoke free now! Just got back from a 1000km trip in a freaking Prius....loved the gas mileage but they have terrible seats.

Jumping borders next month, I need me some poutine and Swiss Chalet...

For those of us in the "South" - enjoy the heat!

Crickets I say....crickets.

:D. I’m taking a break in Tuscany. First time in 15 years that I’m away from home for more than 6 days. We took the pets with us though, which was quite funny, watching our parrot chill with our 12 year old lab on the backseat. :)
