Wide-O, I hope that you and the lab and parrot enjoy Tuscany .

Icehouse, I am still here.

I had a strange experience recently; I was invited to a dinner party and didn't know most of the people there.

One of them kept on trying to ply me with whiskey which I politely declined but he didn't get the message.

Finally I said bluntly that I can't drink for medical reasons (technically true of course).

That shut him up.

2496 days sober.

Just over a month of no cigarettes....feels great!

Been tough to get out and enjoy the warm temperatures with all the freaking rain... ...but I did manage to sneak in a couple days at the ocean last weekend. I am not much of a sit-on-beach-for-hours person, but I love seafood and strolling the surf. I took my surfboard but it was flat....

This will be a crazy month so stayed tuned for the antics of Icehouse!

Au revoir!

That is great about the smokes!

I am a big fan of walking along beaches as well, not to mention seafood.

Things have been quiet here though you can send over some rain anytime you want to.

I have been having a running battle of wills with one of my cats. They both have nice clean litter trays. Blackberry has decided that peeing on the carpet is a good plan .

The vet gave me a spray which I can use on the carpet (not on Blackberry) so I will see.

Cat pee urgh... mix vinegar & lavender to break the smell, don’t use normal household cleanser that contain ammonia, it invites a return gift.

Great stuff on the smoking!

Don't get me started about cat wars. We could mostly manage (at one point we had nine) but then one went rogue and started to attack his mother and sister. His mother actually ran away from us ( ) and we had to rehome his sister with a friend, as she started peeing everywhere but in one of the designated places (he would stalk her if she went there). That cat doesn't talk to us anymore when we visit our friend.

Confusing times here, but I'll manage. In 10 days I'll have 6 years sober (and about 4.5 years smoke-free). Today is day 2181.

Well, when we started talking here you had almost 100% more sober time than I did. Today, it's only 12.7%.

At this rate I'll be sober longer than you in no time.

I think. (*)

Day 2191, also known as "6 years".

June 13th 2012 seems like a lifetime ago.
