Default Neuropathy and Circulation

On another group this topic is hot right now and so many don't know why and have so much pain in the feet, nerve pain. Take drugs, they don't work, try new drugs, nothing again.

Improving Blood Flow to the Feet - Diabetes Self-Management

Grape Seed Extract which I've been taking for over 20 yrs and still learning about it and dosing works on ALL circulation in our bodies. I've gotten some nerve burning pain in my feet and thinking it's from arthritis and that could be but could very well be CIRCULATION, poor circulation.

What I've been doing is taking higher doses of Grape Seed Extract close to bed and also during the day and coming up with less nerve pain. Somes times will take a hit of 600mg and other times 400mg a couple times a day.

I'm no doctor for sure but have been working with my own health for decades and take very very few drugs.

If one is on a pharma blood thinner then can't take Grape Seed Ex.

Here is just one link on Circulation:

Grape Seed Benefits for Your Heart Health, Skin, and Brain

Grape Seed Ex and Pycnogenol have been in our country for under 25 yrs and we're forever learning about these OPC's.

Hi Caroline,
I've been dealing with neuropathy in my feet for probably 4 or so years now. I've can't move my toes but don't have any pain in my feet. I have been to Washington University in St. Louis and they have run all the tests but have not found a cause. I had colon cancer 3 years ago, so I went through radiation and chemo treatments. I have epilepsy which I have had for over 40 years. It has been fully controlled for 8 years now. I am almost inclined to believe the cause of the neuropathy is my cure, or control of my epilepsy. After I started taking Keppra 8 years ago my seizures completely stopped. A couple years later I noticed an occasional slight limp. It continued to get worse. Then I got cancer. The walk got so bad that I finally got plastic braces 1 1/2 years ago. They help a lot but my balance is shot.
My legs are ice cold almost up to my knees. My question is would this grape seed extract improve the circulation in my legs? I know they are cold because of low blood flow. Thanks for the info.
Gene

Geneo76, I've been working with and taking grape seed extract since 1995. I'm still learning about it. I can't tell you yes or no, but it does WORK on our CIRCULATION.

You can do some searches on this and grape seed ex and it does work on veneous insufficiency. As long as you are not taking a pharma blood thinner there should be no problem taking it. If it were me, I'd start with 300mg and get to a couple times per day. Sometimes maybe 600mg at a time. Loading dose is the high dosing.

Again, I'm not a doctor but been using grape seed ex for going on 23 yrs.

Wish you the best and I'm here if you have more questions.

Thanks for the quick reply. It's really aggravating with the feet because I am so active. I used to go to the gym twice a week but now with the braces that is out. I still work a 40 hour week on my feet all day long and do maintenance work on the side, but my balance is just crap. I will check out the grape seed and probably give it a shot. It sure can't hurt, can it?
Thanks,
Gene

I am new to this forum, but can you suggest products on here. If so, what Grape Seed do you suggest? I have taken it in the past, but my company went out of business.

At the top of this page, there is a LONG thread on supplements.

ON the grape seed extract and I've taken many brands over many yrs, but at this point have settled on Olympian Labs, 200mg capsule and take most days 2 capsules. Some days I'll take more if I'm feeling a little under it all. Buy from ebay and amazon for best prices as I shop for quality and Price. There are many good quality products out there and many more costly.

One should always know, if on pharma blood thinner, then can't take both.
