Default What Blood tests to get?

I finally received a positive skin biopsy test today for SFN, and the doctor wants to do some additional blood work to find the cause. I've already had numerous blood tests taken and nothing has been found so far. I highly suspect it is autoimmune as i have alopecia and psoriasis (both automimmune).

Can someone please recommend or point me towards a list of tests i should be getting? I noticed doctors tend to just test a few things here and there, and I'd like to get as much as possible tested right away.

Thanks for your support

Default Probably the most comprehensive lists of blood tests--

--for potential causes of neuropathy and other neurologic disorders were compiled in spreadsheet form by our very own Liza Jane and are available at the top of this forum in the Useful Websites section, though they are also directly accessible through Liza Jane's Neuro Lab Sheets.

I also like the Quest Diagnostics application paper written with neuropathy expert Dr. Norman Latov, also in the Useful Websites, or at Laboratory Diagnosis of Peripheral Neuropathy

Adding to the excellent links from glenntaj, many auto-immune diseases can lead to PN.

Blood tests of whatever kind in this context are not always reliable - both false-positives and false-negatives can happen.

It might be an idea if you got a referral to a specialist clinical immunologist. S/he should be able to do a full investigation (not just blood tests) which could help you.
