Hi Tina,
Sorry to hear about your flare. Sounds miserable. I'll just throw out every tool in my arsenal for your consideration. We're all different and what works for one person won't work for another, but hopefully you'll get some ideas worth trying: - Lidocaine patches (by prescription) - Quell TENS unit - Magnesium cream Amazon.com: Kirkman Magnesium Sulfate Cream 4oz: Health & Personal Care I'm trying to learn meditation techniques for when a stress-induced flare hits, but I'm not terribly good at it. I had to laugh at a few of of the meditation "help" videos on YouTube. "Feel your body. Notice every sensation. Start at your toes." Noooooooooooooooo. --------------------- |

Tina, my X was Bipolar(still is). I tried to help her, but it is one of the only things in life I failed miserably at. So in the end we split up(Bipolar was the tip of the mental health iceberg) and I moved on. Even with my PN(which is nowhere near as bad as yours) I moved on and found a better life. What I am trying to say is that this might be a good thing so go with it and enjoy some new found freedom. |
