Default Introduction

Hi, I am posting for the first time. I was recently dx with peripheral neuropathy (small fiber) about a month ago. My neuro said it was caused by my Primary Sjogren's which I have been dx'd with for eleven years. I am taking Methotrexate by injections for the SS, and for the PN I have been taking Gabapentin which seems to be helping, but sometimes I feel rather spacey. I also have Essential Tremor (2 types) for which I am taking Primidone and that seems to also be helping me function better. I am happy to be part of this group.

How long have you been on the Gaba? Is your head issue the only side effect that you are experiencing? I was on it for two months and had many unpleasant side effects with absolutely no benefit for pain reduction. Txs.

Hi pippi longstocking, I have been taking the Gabapentin for about one month. I have a follow-up appt. w/neuro in a couple of weeks and I'm going to tell him about how fatigued I feel and spaced out. I can't say it has not helped somewhat with the pain in my toes, but it has not touched the pains in my calves. No, it hasn't helped me that much.
