Default Positive b/f has alcoholic neuropathy....

This is my first time here trying to figure things out! My b/f has not yet been diagnosed but I did my research and I know he has alcoholic neuropathy. The problem is going to be if and when his dr. diagnoses it, he will not accept it. Does not admit he is an alcoholic and he will blame it on something else. I don't really care that he won't admit it, but how can I help him if he won't cut drinking? From what I read that is the only way he is going to get better. He also does not let me go into his appts with him (I know he is not truthful). He drinks all day, every day...steady. Gets probably 95% of his calories from beer and wine. Has no appetite. Anyone else have this problem and what can I do?

Hi nancyinnh

Welcome to NeuroTalk .

I suggest that you have a look at this thread https://www.neurotalk.org/alcoholism...ml#post1274246 . It is intended for members who are at various stages of coping with alcohol-induced PN. You would be most welcome to post there. Other members could be able to offer you helpful ideas about how to try to support your b/f.

Best wishes.
