Hello,

Can Gabapentin be taken with different supplements? I am considering taking Grapeseed Extract oil; fish oil and Tumeric Cucurim supplements.

I just stopped taking Gabapentin because of bad dreams. It did not help me sleep either.

I've been taking Gabapentin for what seems like a million years. The interaction I've heard about is that it competes for uptake in the stomach with magnesium. I recently heard that it's a minor amount, maybe up to 20%. If I take magnesium, I separate it from my Gabapentin by a couple hours so they're not in my stomach together.

Yes, 900mg 3x a day. I have nerve pain down both legs and arms, very painful at the elbows, affecting the ulnar nerve and my fingers. Cannot hold a coffee cup. The medication lessens the pain; tingling; burning and sensitivity. Tried to reduce the med by 300mg and within 2 days, all the pain; tingling and burning came back. I am so grateful for the medication, it has given me a sense of normalcy and the ability to return to work.

I am 14 weeks post-op hysterectomy and apparently this is a complication
of surgery called Surgery-Induced Nueropathy. It started at 3 weeks post-op.
Totally normal prior to surgery. Praying it will resolve soon!

Hello Dollymolly, I had the same thing happen to me after my hysterectomy last year and am still suffering. How are you doing? Has your tingling and burning sensations improved and are you still on Gabapentin? thanks.

The neuropathy can probably happen after any surgery, mine came on over 9 yrs ago after hip replacement...talk about regrets, yes I have some. I try so so much and I get help and trust the Grape Seed Extract I have been taking for a long time helps too. A friend was on gabapentin for long time with all it's side effects and now off it, and takes Grape Seed Extract, and she's managing better...and no side effects.
I've posted plenty about this wonderful antioxidant.

Re: hysterectomy, I had one probably close to 40 yrs and left with god awful sciatic nerve damage. It's been flaring in the last year or so...just awful things can and often do happen to us when we are traumatized with surgeries. Body does not like to be cut....truth.
