Hello,
I have small fiber nueropathy (sp). The SSA awarded me benefits about 5 years ago. Also about at that same time I got a divorce. The were two BIG hits on my financial world. I had to declare CH 7 and I also had to short sale my house. I was able to get my pension early (I taught in the public schools for 25 years). I am 55 years old. Every since the divorce, I have been a renter. The pension provided me with a small lump sum ($33K and a monthly payment of 285 bucks per month). My credit score is about 700. I want to buy a home. Does any one know of any programs that help the disabled get back into home ownership? In my location (the middle of Kansas) it is a buyer's market. Plenty of houses available. Therefore, the price of them is low. I can get into an adequate house within a range of 55K to 85K. Additionally, if anyone has any links and/or knows steps to take to get ready to talk to the bank about mortgages and pre-financing, please let me know. Thanks again, Dean Thank you, Dean |
