Sorry to hear you are having trouble sleeping as do I. I've had idiopathic peripheral neuropathy since 2014. I take desipramine and gabapentin. I have neuropathy all over but specifically in my arms and legs. It feels like severe sunburn and clothing aggravates my skin--like wearing clothing over a layer of sand. I do not have sharp pain but have tingling. For sleep I take 2 mg melatonin 1 hr before bedtime and this provides 7 hrs of good sleep. Hope this helps.
