I have previously posted my despair at developing SNF neuropathy seemingly overnight. It started in my heels, but I didn't pay much attention to that for months. Then the body-wide symptoms emerged over a period of 2 weeks, starting with a buzzing in the groin then burning in my calves.
The symptoms that seem to bother me the most, 4 1/2 months in, are the crawling and itching sensations. These afflict my lower abdomen primarily. I have to remind myself not to scratch. If I do, they change to more painful, burning and aching sensations. I wonder if this it what they will always be or if they will change over time. This affliction is maddening because it has so many faces, is so unpredictable, and has no treatment. |
